What we offer: We offer an internship in the field of forest engineering-related research. The intern will accompany the staff of the Institute in their daily work both in the office and in the field. The Institute's research topics include forest road construction and maintenance, timber harvesting, fuelwood supply, and work safety. The actual work task depends on what type of activities are ongoing during the internship.
What we expect: A strong forest engineering background and interest in the above-mentioned research topics is mandatory. Please do not consider this internship if this is not your main field of interest. Further, we expect a strong interest in scientific work, scientific skills, and scientific thinking. We would like to especially encourage female applicants to apply for work in the field of forest engineering.
An internship start by the beginning of June would be preferred as a lot of field trips will only be possible in June/early July.
Experience in R and scientific field work is advantageous.
Number of weeks offered: 8 weeks, between Jun and August.
